Episode 2 The Birth of a King

The Story of King Parikshit (Part I)

After the great battle, Ashvatthama murders the sons of the Pandavas in their sleep. He then unleashes the brahmastra, a weapon as devastating as an atomic bomb, against the last heir of the dynasty, still in the womb of his mother, Uttara. From there the child sees a mysterious being the size of a thumb shielding him from the fire. So begins the life of Parikshit, “the examiner,” destined to search for the face he saw before he was born.
