The personality of sin is spreading across the Earth, and King Parikshit sets out to confront it. But one day, thirsty after a hunt, he offends a sage absorbed in meditation, and the sage’s son curses him: in seven days he will die from a snakebite. What would someone do who knows exactly when they will die? Parikshit’s answer will give rise to the Srimad-Bhagavatam.
